We photographed Cindy and Geoff’s engagement pix at Santa Monica Pier. The couple lives in Nor Cal, so we were excited that they wanted to fly down for their shoot. They admittedly didn’t have a lot of experience in front of the camera. but were quick studies and their natural chemistry allowed us to capture genuine moments. After a few shots at the concrete staircase and walkways and in front of a cool purple cottage, we headed down to the beach and under the pier for some golden hour photos. We photographed Peggy and Ru’s wedding in downtown Los Angeles at the chic Kyoto Grand Hotel and Gardens. The hotel has a gorgeous ceremony site on their rooftop garden, set among a waterfall, towering trees and colorful florals. The site also overlooks the downtown skyline.
Peggy and Ru wanted to take full advantage of the various settings downtown has to offer so they opted for a first look and scheduled plenty of time for their couple’s portraits. They had so much fun with each other, smiling and hugging. Afterward, they began the first of two ceremonies; an intimate religious ceremony followed by the outdoor ceremony with their friends and family in attendance. Then everyone enjoyed a lively cocktail hour on the rooftop before finishing the party with their evening dinner reception.
