Two weeks ago we flew to San Francisco for a whirlwind shooting trip (4 days, 3 couples, 2 engagement sessions and 1 wedding). It was a great time and we got to hang out with some wonderful couples in beautiful surroundings.

First up, we present Geoff and Cindy’s wedding which was held at the Palm Event Center, a beautiful winery in Pleasanton. We first met up with the bride and groom that day at their home in San Francisco to capture some prep photos and some scenic portraits by the Ferry Building. Afterward we headed to the winery for more photo fun with the couple and their wedding party. The ceremony took place overlooking the vibrant colored vineyards. I love photographing the tender moments…both tearful and joyous during the vows. After the kiss, they were both all smiles and Geoff gave a couple of triumphant fist pumping cheers into the air as he and Cindy were pronounced man and wife.

The reception was held in the ballroom where guests were seated among wine barrels and candle light and the festivities continued. Of course before we left we had our signature ‘After Dark’ session with the couple. They warmly embraced and shared hugs and smiles…it was clear to see how in love they are with each other.

Seal Beach Engagement Photographers

We met with Melissa and Tony last weekend to photograph their engagement session in Seal Beach. Tony was actually one of the groomsmen from one of our past clients wedding a few years ago. Of course the weather this time of year at the beach is always up in the air but we lucked out with the winds just right for Melissa’s long flowing hair and the cloudy skies provided a giant softbox, enabling Mike and I to capture beautiful natural images. It didn’t take the couple long to warm up at all; they were smiling and requesting some background ideas in no time. One of my favorites is the spot Melissa noticed, the “Finish Line” sign that happened to be up for an event that day. They are almost at their own ‘finish line’ for the wedding and we can’t wait to capture it this fall.

Check out some of our favs from the session below:
