Maui ‘Day After’ Session

After a busy wedding the previous day (see the following post), Melissa and Brian had plenty of energy left for a ‘Day After’ session and we all had a great time using a more candid, romantic approach with the series. Mike and I loved the location they found, it had so many beautiful elements…the blue pacific on the Makai (ocean) side, cascading mountains towards the east, dozens of palms and a gorgeous green and golden field (something I’ve been wanting to photograph in for along time!)

As we shot oceanside, the surf showered them a couple of time, but I think they’d agree the dry cleaning bill will be worth it :)

Here are some highlights:

Melissa and Brian, thanks for all your enthusiasm with the shoot!

Just Maui’d! Wedding in Olowalu

Filed under Destination Weddings, Wedding • Written by Gina @ 1:02 am

Well, I couldn’t help myself, there were so many great shots from Melissa & Brian’s Wedding at Olowalu Plantation House and since it’s been over a week since our last post we figured we’d give our BLOG visitors some extra images for eye candy.

This wedding had everything: cheers, tears, rain, shine. It was also the 2nd time that the happy couple has attracted temperamental weather! During their engagement session at the beach (check out the April archives) we all felt like we were battling a sand storm in the unusually windy weather. This time the change in weather only lasted a little while and as you can see in the last photo below, there was no way this group was going to let that stop them from having a great time.

Here are some of our favorites from this wedding and don’t forget to watch their SLIDESHOW for a bunch more.

A little rain is pretty common in Hawaii, after all..how else would the islands be so beautiful? But as you can see, Melissa and Brian weren’t going to let anything ‘dampen’ their day!
