Beach Engagement Session

Mike & I headed to Marina Del Rey for Cheryl & James’ e-PIX. It’s always nice to work with couples who are up for trying ideas out and Cheryl & James were cool enough to try out our requests as well as bring some of their own. It was a relaxing shoot and we also had to thank them for showing us a close, quieter beach to add to our location list.

We tell couples the great thing about the engagement session is it’s really like a “crash course” preparation for the wedding day. The engagement sessions focus a lot more on the couple and their interaction so when their big day comes, they barely notice us and the cameras.

We’re looking forward to capturing your wedding next spring guys!

Wedding at La Venta Inn - Palos Verdes

So who says you can’t have an awesome wedding on a weeknight!? We photographed our last wedding of the summer for Natalie & Dennis on a Thursday night and it was the perfect combination of intimacy, sophistication and fun. It was actually the last of 3 weddings we photographed in the same week.

Natalie chose a natural color palette of chocolate & cream tones, a Champagne colored dress, and sparkled everything from flowers to place cards with a little bling.

La Venta Inn featured amazing panoramic views of Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean and the gorgeous backdrop that can be viewed in some of the photos looks almost unreal. Check out the scenic portrait on the deck below, I saw the rays of light shining from the clouds and knew it would be the perfect opportunity for our super-wide angle lens.
