Thousand Oaks Wedding Photography - Sherwood Country Club
Cori and Greg were married at the gorgeous Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks. They were referred to us by former clients and I couldn’t help getting a feeling of deja vu as this was the 2nd time we’ve photographed a couple of members of the wedding party. Of course since Cori had heard so much about us from Cheryl and James it was like chatting with a friend (that also probably had something to do with Cori’s outgoing personality).
From the brick facade with white roman columns to the lavish wooden interior to the perfectly manicured gardens and terraces, Sherwood was a dream location to shoot at. Cori and the gals got ready in a spacious room with large bay windows allowing for plenty of bright natural light. Greg and the boys showed up a bit later and hung out in the ornately wooden boardroom which made for some cool pictures as well. The couple decided to see each other before the wedding and as we photographed their reveal, I couldn’t help smiling at how giddy Cori was as she approached her groom-to-be. Their smiles were ear to ear from that point on throughout the entire day.
The heartful ceremony included quite a few laughs and ended with Greg honoring Cori’s Jewish heritage with the breaking of the glass. The reception took place in a ‘midsummer nights dream’ setting…the centerpieces overflowed with lush florals, vines and even butterflies. There were gorgeous mosaic glass candle holders and crystals hanging from chocolate colored branches. Cori and Greg left no detail unattended, they even had several different favors including cookies and bottled water with custom labels, which served as the perfect departing gift for their guests ride home at the end of the evening.
