We shot Danielle and WeiLi’s engagement session at UCLA, where they went to college and started dating. The grassy knolls and brick buildings with classic arches served as a great backdrop for their session and the couple even brought some mementos (including a journal of their relationship) from their courtship and proposal to serve as props for the shoot. It was a great idea since WeiLi surprised Danielle with a proposal on a picnic using the same journal they brought for the shoot.
After UCLA, we headed to Marina Del Rey for some beach photos and luckily the weather cooperated with a brilliant orange sunset. Check out some of our favs from the session below.

Anna and Michael’s wedding at the Mountain Mermaid estate was a beautiful celebration of culture, tradition and personality. The venue couldn’t have been a more perfect setting, with it’s mix of eclectic furniture and rustic old world architecture and in these days of unusually unreliable weather, the couple lucked out with a warm and bright sunny day for their nuptials.
Anna used her DIY talents to personalize nearly all the details and decor including a twist on the usual table cards…broken tiles with handwritten names and miniature potted plants as favors.
We started the day out capturing Anna’s bridal preparation and the funny thing about Anna is that at first glance, you see an adorable quiet petite gal but it’s not long before she lets out this hilarious, outgoing personality which is probably another reason why her and Michael are such a great match as he’s a bit of the silent mysterious type so they actually balance each other out.
The wedding took place outdoors and poolside and it was clear to see how much the couple cared about each other as they exchanged loving glances at each other during the ceremony. Then after Michael triumphantly broke the glass and kissed the bride, everyone headed up the hill to the estate’s huge dining room for the evening celebration complete with toasts, laughter and dancing…including the festive hora.
