Carmen and Rob wed at one of our favorite venues, the Mountain Mermaid. The beautiful estate in Topanga Canyon is known for it’s lush greenery, beautiful gardens and Mermaid art and sculptures which can be seen indoors and out. As the couple shared smiles and exchanged vows during their garden ceremony, it was easy to see their happiness and how deeply they cared for each other. Of course that emotion came in handy during their photo session too

After the poolside cocktail hour, everyone headed up to the Great Room for the reception dinner and festivities. Carmen did a wonderful job on her decor theme which included pink, cream and peach floral centerpieces with silver accents and vintage style vases. An eclectic bird cage topped with florals and doves served as the card holder and instead of a traditional guestbook, the couple requested that guests leave their fingerprint on a framed drawing of their “wedding tree”. We photographed Melissa and Oscar’s wedding at the beautiful Los Angeles River Center and Gardens. The venue is a hidden gem in the bustling city, surrounded by tall ivy covered walls with fountains, courtyards and lush greenery inside. The couple wanted a gorgeous outdoor venue so this was the perfect choice.

The day included personal touches for the bride & groom and their guests, including Mariachis in honor of their heritage and a song performed by a friend during the ceremony.

One thing clear to see about Melissa and Oscar is what a great match they are. From the moment their eyes met at the ceremony they were full of smiles and even during their photo session they were so comfortable and loving with each other it was easy to see that they “just fit” one another.
